HALLANDSLEDEN
Discover Halland's beautiful hinterland on foot by hiking the Hallandsleden. Experience nature up close and enjoy peace and quiet. Hallandsleden meets Skåneleden in the south and Bohusleden in the north. On their way through Halland you can choose an eastern and a western stretch of the trail. The two sections are combined in Åkulla, east of Varberg and in Gyltige, north of Simlångsdalen.
Excursion tips by bike
ÅKULLALEDEN
Åkullaleden starts in Varberg and follows the old embankment to the east. The nature is hilly and very beautiful with fantastic beech forests and many lakes.
The cycle path is easy to cycle. The beech forests are characteristic of the Åkulla area and the MTB race The Bocksten tour runs the Varberg-Åkulla-Varberg route every year.

The Yasjön trail
Hiking and trail running. The trail starts at Åkulla Outdoor Resort (Åkulla Friluftsgård) and goes around Yasjön, 5.3 km.
The Bocksten trail
Bockstensstigen runs largely through Nabbens nature reserve, 3.9 km. Link from Åkulla Outdoor Resort.
Flähultstigen
The trail starts at Åkulla Outdoor Resort. Part of the Flähultstigen runs on the old embankment, through beautiful beech forest nature with fine mushroom and berry fields. The embankment is partly blasted into the rock and there the icicles hang like works of art during winter cold days, 3.0 km.
All three are marked with oak poles with a wide white ribbon and red tiles with Åkulla beech forests' logo.
