CYCLING IN ÅKULLA
Whether you are looking for winding country roads, hearing the crunch of gravel paths or making your way through lush nature, you are sure to find your favorite trail in Åkulla beech forests. But remember that you are sharing your experience with drivers as well as hikers and animals, so with care and respect everyone has a nice stay in our beautiful forests.
PUMP TRACK
Åkulla pumptrack is an approximately 100-meter-long gravel track for bicycles, built of packed masses that are shaped into hills, curves and jumps.
The idea of the track is that you as a cyclist should be able to pump your way through the track using your body weight and technique and without having to pedal very much.
It is perfect technique training for all ages and skill levels, regardless of the size of your bike.
The pumptrack was built in 2020 as part of the outdoor project Outwest through collaboration between the associations Varbergs MTB, Friluftsfrämjandet Varberg-Viske and Åkulla Bokskogars Intresseförening with coordination by Varbergs Municipality. The project was financed with funds from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and Lokalt Ledd Utveckling Halland. The land on which the facility stands is leased by Varbergs Fastighets AB.
HALLANDSTRAID
Discover Halland's beautiful hinterland on foot or by bike. Experience nature up close and enjoy the peace and quiet. The Halland Trail meets the Skåneleden in the south and the Bohusleden in the north. On its way through Halland, you can choose an eastern and a western stretch of the trail. The two stretches join in Åkulla, east of Varberg, and in Gyltige, north of Simlångsdalen.

MOUNTAIN BIKE
In Åkulla, Varberg municipality is creating a mountain bike trail that is suitable for both beginners and experienced cyclists. The mountain bike project is based on collaboration between the culture and leisure administration, the business and destination office, Varbergs Fastighets AB and several external actors.

HIKING/TRAIL RUNNING/CYCLING
Bockstenstigen 3.9
The Bockstensstigen goes for large parts through the Nabben nature reserve, 3.9 km. Link from Åkulla Outdoor Resort.
Hilly hike that is largely made up of beautiful beech forest. From the eastern parking lot, you can easily get to the Bockstens bog and the place where the famous Bockstensman was found. Hiking, trail running and MTB cycling. (No. 8)

HALLANDSLEDEN
Discover Halland's beautiful hinterland on foot by hiking the Hallandsleden. Experience nature up close and enjoy peace and quiet. Hallandsleden meets Skåneleden in the south and Bohusleden in the north. On their way through Halland you can choose an eastern and a western stretch of the trail. The two sections are combined in Åkulla, east of Varberg and in Gyltige, north of Simlångsdalen.
